What's Twitter?

Twitter is a social networking, real-time short messaging service that gives you 140 characters to tell the world – or just your friends – what you're up to or thinking about.

It's a good way of staying in touch with friends or keeping up to date with topics that interest you. It can also be a great way to find a new job.

How can I use Twitter to find a job?

There are several job hunting services on Twitter but CPL Jobs does it a little differently. Most will send you a stream of jobs, but offer little in the way of matching the jobs to your own requirements. It's a bit like searching for a needle in the proverbial haystack.

CPL Jobs, however, is all about making job hunting as easy as possible. That's why we'll only send you jobs that match your needs. We'll make sure your Twitter jobs are for the right kind of role, in the right location and for the right salary.

How does it work?

It’s really simple.

To set up a Jobs tweet:

  1. If you haven't already, set up an account on Twitter and click the 'follow' button on the CPL twitter page.
  2. Check your Twitter inbox for a Direct Message from CPL Jobs and click the link to set up your job tweets
  3. Check our jobs recommendations or amend the search information and confirm you're happy with the types of jobs we're going to send you
  4. Sit back and wait for the tweets!

To stop receiving jobs:

  1. Sign in to your Twitter account
  2. Search for 'CPLjobs' and click on the 'Following' button to remove the Follow

We'll send you your jobs via a Direct Message on Twitter. This will keep your job hunting private. When you see a job you like you can simply apply for it using your usual CPL Jobs account.
